The final episode of this star-studded edition of the popular reality show was uploaded in error by overseas broadcasters before its planned UK airing on Thursday, as confirmed a network statement.
It is understood that the finale was watched by a few hundred viewers of the online platform Crave in the North American country; they were able to watch it for a short period until it was removed.
The episode being released was not considered a mistake by the producing network, and a representative for the corporation asked those who think they have discovered the outcome of the series to "refrain from posting any reveals".
"We urge those who thinks they know the ending of the celebrity edition to hold whatever they believe they know to themselves," the announcement read.
"Please avoid posting any spoilers so that the vast audience who have been faithfully following every development of the series can experience the final this night."
This celebrity version is currently the top-rated TV show of the year, with an average of 12.6 million viewers over the first four episodes.
Fans of the series have been eagerly anticipating to see whether deceivers Cat Burns and Alan Carr will secure the £100,000 for charity or whether faithfuls the faithful contestants will be victorious.
A past champion of the third series of The Traitors stated that "no one likes spoilers", which are "joy's enemy".
The winner mentioned they will be settling in to view the final this evening live, with his entire family and "a bucket of popcorn".
Thursday's concluding installment is extended to 70 minutes on the main channel, with an extended edition of The Celebrity Traitors: Uncloaked scheduled to broadcast on BBC Two after the finale.
Host the host will be accompanied by the contestants and the co-host as they react to the series conclusion.
