Former Doctor Accused of Sexual Assault Allegations Against Thirty-Eight Individuals in His Care
Legal authorities have announced that a former physician stands accused of performing sexual assaults involving thirty-eight individuals who were patients.
The Serious Charges
Nathaniel Spencer from Birmingham has been charged with dozens of acts of sexual assault – comprising some against children younger than 13 – between 2017 to 2021.
A deputy chief CPS official commented, “Legal teams have diligently worked to support a thorough and intricate police inquiry, meticulously examining the available evidence to establish that there is sufficient evidence to bring the case to trial and that it is in the public interest.”
The Investigation
The charges come after what investigators called a “detailed inquiry” into reported sexual offences at two hospitals: a hospital in Stoke-on-Trent and a facility in Dudley.
The defendant is due to appear at the North Staffordshire justice centre on 20 January.

Prosecutors outline the forty-five sexual offences he is charged with:
- Fifteen counts of assault.
- 17 counts of assault by penetration.
- 9 counts of assault on a minor under thirteen.
- Three counts of assault of a child under 13 by penetration.
- One count of attempted penetrative assault.
