The Gruesome Animated Film Conclusion That Stays With Viewers

Among every mature cartoon movies I have ever watched, nothing has lingered in my mind quite like the dread-soaked conclusion of a graphically gory as well as highly provocative film from 2022 Unicorn Wars.

Back in 2015’s, this Spanish filmmaker created a grim, somber and often savage world with a few small , forlorn hints of optimism.

While The Unicorn Wars seems like it came from a drive to push animation even more, the filmmaker explained that it was rather a try to communicate a widespread, multicultural message about “the common origin of all wars.”

This theme is communicated through a band of brightly hued teddy bears , clearly based on a famous line of cuddly figures.

Growing up in a community focused on militarism as well as the war machine, many of these creatures are fixated on slaughtering the mythical beasts, due to a sacred text which states the bears they used to be kings of the woods, until these creatures forced them out.

Others did not entirely fallen for the indoctrination, , choose to experiment with narcotics or mate in the woods.

Unlike their cuddly equivalents, these vivid animals show sexual organs and definite libidos.

For a certain especially vicious, pessimistic creature, Bluey, the war with the unicorns transforms into a path to control — and particularly to dominance over his softer, kinder brother the bear Tubby.

This bear acts as a tormentor and an apparent sociopath , and as terror overcomes his group and kills his teammates one by one, he grabs increasingly control personally, through ever more gory, destructive ways.

At the same time, the horned creatures are enduring their own nightmare, as a spreading, harmful creature in their habitat.

“At the beginning, it feels like a comedy,” the director stated. “But then it turns into a more serious and melancholic film. And by the end, it becomes a terrifying movie.”

The Unicorn Wars starts out resembling one of the most playful features from a renowned filmmaker, that uncover a mischievous joy in allowing drawn beings curse, shoot each other, or sex each other up.

Then it becomes something more like a bleaker movie from the same director, including ever more explicit brutality and a palpable link to the actual horror of war.

By the end, it is a full-on theatrical horror carnage.

The horror that makes the film a Halloween-friendly viewing starts a lot earlier than that description suggests.

The Unicorn Wars is suited for the most dedicated lovers of violence, for lovers of intense movies who wish to see a movie they’ve never viewed until now, and can endure a plot which delivers unflinching brutality.

See it in a dimly lit space without any distractions, and the conclusion will dig into your mind and stay with you.
