Weather Forecast

Damp conditions were forecast to persist along significant areas of Queensland's east this coming days as a atmospheric system continued to draw in moisture against the coastal areas.

Tuesday was predicted as the wettest day, with persistent storm activity predicted across different parts of both regions.

Health Warning

Health officials cautioned that there was an increased chance of thunderstorm-induced asthma across the state's northern country region, especially given the existing atmospheric conditions.

This warning comes after previous incidents where analogous circumstances led to significant health impacts in the area.
